Understanding the process was probable the thing that held me back the most before I started. I just couldn’t believe it could be that simple.
- Mix beer kit with hot water to dissolve.
- Add cold water as per instruction
- Stir in yeast
- Seal with airlock and store for 4-6 days
Then you wait until the airlock stop producing bubbles, and then you transfer to your pressure barrel or bottles, with a little sugar and wait again for 14 days or so.
I found this video helpful. Although I dint use this specific kit, it did give me a good idea of what is involved. In other research I spoke to a few micro brewers who insisted that “as long as everything is sterile, you could probably get away with getting a few other bits wrong”
